So Rascal has discovered a new place to go while we are trying to eat our dinner! His 90 lb but barely fits in the middle of the table, and its even funnier when he tries to lay down in there!

A Day at the Races

This past weekend we loaded up and went to the Horse Races at Oaklawn in Hot Springs. It was the first time I had ever been and it was quite an experience. It was a great place for people watching. Another great part is the food and drinks. Everyone told me before I went what was good to get. My favorite thing there was the frozen yogurt- it was so good!
The big question is-did I win any money?
I had a strong feeling on race #4 on a horse named PINK BOOTS. I just knew she was a winner for sure!! I made two bets I was so positive. Race 4 started, and there Pink Boots went. She was leading for the whole race and then she lost her steam and at the finish line I kept waiting for her to run by....well needless to say she didn't come close to winning. ::( So sad!

A favorite book series of mine has been for a long time the Shopaholic series....(Confessions of a Shopaholic, Shopaholic Takes Manhatten, Shopaholic ties the knot)...

So this weekend I was very excited to get to see the movie based on the first book. My mom and I went Saturday(this is not a movie David wanted to see at all!) and the movie did not dissapoint.

Sometimes when you love a book and then see the movie it is kinda a let down, but I thought

they did a good job adapting the book and it was a super cute movie!

Ice storm

BRRRR

It has been a cold week. A lot of the state is without power due to a bad ice storm in North Arkansas (including Missy my sister). Luckily Little Rock barely dodged that bullet because we were at just above the freezing temperature. I hate ice storms and even the possibility of ice storms. Just ask the people I work with- I get all freaked out about the weather!



Also this week I have really been missing Big Cedar Lodge.

Best food, cozy cabins and its just beautiful. Everyone should go once in their life-heck I want to go at least once a year. I wish I were there now!!!

Weekends Off

I am so happy to say that I have had three weekends off in a row. This was great after going through the Holidays in retail. Each Friday I have gone to bed around 10 or 11 and not woke up until 9 or 10. Its been great. Here is an overview of my weekends of leisure.....

A day trip to Hot Springs. We went to see Anissa and Brian(they sold us Rascal) and all of their pups

Massage at Rejuvination Clinic

I have eaten at some fun new restaurants too including Cappi's, Gina's sushi cafe and Rolando's in Hot Springs (so good!!)

Holiday Blues

Today we packed up all of our Christmas Decorations. I was so sad to see them all go. I am really going to miss the tree set up and all the extra glittery decorations around the house. Now I am just trying to figure out where to put it all!

On another note I celebrated my 26th birthday this weekend. I actually had the whole weekend off which was well deserved. David got me a new Coach purse that is BEAUTIFUL! And I also enjoyed some great birthday lunches and dinners all weekend long.
