Fourth of July weekend

We headed to the entertainment capital of the world this weekend...Branson! My family rented a condo there to celebrate my dad's 60th birthday.

We had a great time getting away together. The best part- my dad's birthday cake said "Gabe" instead of Dave on it- haha!
Of course Carter kept saying it was his birthday...typical two year old!

It's been awhile

I'm going to try and get better at updating again!
Here are some things about our little two year old!
This is such a fun age because they say something new and funny everyday.
Last week I told Carter he hurt my feeling and he rubbed my arm and looked at me so sweet and said "sorry", where did he learn that from?? Haha
Some other things about Carter at two and four months-
Favorite show- Mickey Mouse clubhouse
Favorite food- gummies, grapes, smoothie, cereal
Favorite phrase- watch this, more apple juice, where did___go?
Likes to introduce himself and say "I carter" and point to himself
Favorite book- goodnight moon and little blue truck
Dislikes- sitting in the bath, getting in the pool, when Rascal pushes him over and takes his food

Two year birthday

Our little boy turned two this past weekend! Wow has time flown by!
He is the sweetest boy and we are so proud to be his parents.
He says something new or picks up a new expression everyday.
Here are some of his two year old facts:
-25lbs, 33 inches
-loves balls and to play with
his small basketball hoop
- sleeps from around 7-7 still
-favorite foods: fruit loops, apple sauce, cookies, smoothies
-still sleeps with passie
-calls Rascal dogdog
-loves to say hi and bye and give everyone fist pumps
-enjoys brushing teeth
-really likes shoes and puts them on almost as soon as he wakes up
-loves to go outside for walks and cries sometimes when he can't go for one

Here are some pictures from our barnyard party. He was a hoot! Carter was so excited to see everyone who came to his house. Then for all the presents he opened he was so happy and kept going "woo ow"!!

Blessed

I feel very blessed after this past Holiday season. From
a wonderful Thanksgiving at our house with friends and family to a great Christmas season full of fun parties and celebration.
For Carter we decided to get a
big hall storage closet turned into playroom. It was a labour of love for sure because we had to clean it out, tear out the hanging closet parts and paint.
But it was worth it on Christmas morning with how excited he was to see if for the first time!!

Here are some before and after pics!

Some other photos from the
Holidays!

Furniture before and after

Remember the post about our sink that was ripped out?

It's close to the back door we always come in so I wanted a place we could put our stuff when we come in.
I found this piece at a garage sale and used Annie Sloan chalk paint to redo it. It was awesome to use and I loved how it turned out!

St. Louis and Halloween

I'm about a month late blogging about our St. Louis trip. We went for a long weekend in October for David's birthday. We went to the zoo, a pumpkin patch, Budweiser and even a winery! Yes carter went to his first brewery and winery :)

Then the next weekend was
Halloween! Carter was a puppy and we went to our church carnival. On actual Halloween we went to a Scott party but it was really warm we didn't wear the puppy costume again.
