Blessed

I feel very blessed after this past Holiday season. From
a wonderful Thanksgiving at our house with friends and family to a great Christmas season full of fun parties and celebration.
For Carter we decided to get a
big hall storage closet turned into playroom. It was a labour of love for sure because we had to clean it out, tear out the hanging closet parts and paint.
But it was worth it on Christmas morning with how excited he was to see if for the first time!!

Here are some before and after pics!

Some other photos from the
Holidays!

Furniture before and after

Remember the post about our sink that was ripped out?

It's close to the back door we always come in so I wanted a place we could put our stuff when we come in.
I found this piece at a garage sale and used Annie Sloan chalk paint to redo it. It was awesome to use and I loved how it turned out!

St. Louis and Halloween

I'm about a month late blogging about our St. Louis trip. We went for a long weekend in October for David's birthday. We went to the zoo, a pumpkin patch, Budweiser and even a winery! Yes carter went to his first brewery and winery :)

Then the next weekend was
Halloween! Carter was a puppy and we went to our church carnival. On actual Halloween we went to a Scott party but it was really warm we didn't wear the puppy costume again.

What we have been up to...

Here is a little catch of what we have been up to.
More house repairs-
New bathroom floor. I couldn't find a before picture, but it was hunter green.

In our sunroom we had a bad leak so we ripped out a big sink that was here. I don't have an after picture yet. The floor is fixed but I haven't found a piece of furniture yet.

We did some minor landscaping in the back of the house. We had all these bushes moved to closer to the house.
Before

After

Labor Day weekend we took a fun trip to Lake of the Ozarks!
We stayed with some friends at their lake house there and had a blast!

Carter got his first haircut two weeks ago (or at least first one not by me).

Last weekend we went to a teddy bear picnic at the Laman Library-it was so cute!

Carter at 18 months

This little boy is growing up! I think he says a new word everyday!
At the doctor check up this week he still weighed 22 lbs and was 31 inches. He is low percentile for everything but doctor said he is ok and proportional.

Words that he started saying recently that show his toddlerhood: mine and no

It's really funny when he points to Rascal and says "no"!

He is kinda a picky eater but loves fruit and bread still! He likes to throw food more than eat it most of the time.

Has 10 teeth how!

Still goes to bed around 7 pm - 7 am, but has started pitching fits to not go to bed :( hopefully just a phase!

Likes to watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and do hot dog dance at end. He even started saying "toodles" from a character on the show.

Wears 12-18 month and is in between a 3 and 4 shoe.

Likes to read books!

Whenever we leave somewhere like grocery store likes to yell "bye bye" to everyone.

He is still so sweet and just a delight of a little boy!

Memphis trip

Last weekend we went on a quick trip to Memphis to celebrate my good friend Bailey's birthday. It was a fun(left the kids at home) outing!
We stayed downtown and went to the amazing Restaurant Iris. It was an amazing food experience and of you go make reservations in advance! They only have 14 tables in there. Afterwards we had drinks at the swanky Madison hotel.
