One of my favorite things to do is try different restaurants, especially local establishments. So, part of my blogging is to share with you some of my favorites.
So this past weekend I went to a restaurant called The House in Hillcrest for brunch with some of my work friends. Which is unusual since we usually don't all have off on a Saturday. The service was a little slow but it has a cozy environment and VERY good biscuit and gravy and mimosas.
That same night my husband and I went on a date to SO, also in Hillcrest, I would make sure to always have reservations on weekends because it can get crowded there. It is a very cool place in town and the best things on the menu in my opinion are the cakes and the special dessert....the chocolate sack. I wish I had taken a picture of it but I will be going back to get it again soon.
It is one to split and is basically a box made of chocolate filled with ice cream, graham cracker, marshmallow, almond and raspberry sauce. So good!
